‘Silanerangalil’ releases on Feb 29

The release of ‘Silanerangalil’ has been confirmed on 29th. The film has been cleared by the Censor Board with ‘U’ certificate.

Popular Malayalam director Jayaraj makes his foray into Tamil cinema with Silanerangalil. He has rendered several blockbusters like ‘Santham’ and ‘4 Students’. He has won national award four times. ‘Silanerangalil’ is a thriller penned by R Raj.

The project is a result of coming together of four young software professionals from US, who have a passion for meaningful cinema. The story of the project was conceived by R Raj, one among the four.

Ashokan (son of yesteryear actor Ashokan), who played the villain in films such as ‘Aye’, ‘Pokirri’ and ‘Aalwar’, turns hero in ‘Silanerangalil’.

Navya Nair handles a heavy role in the female lead. Vineeth gets to play a prominent role while Raghuvaran dons a different role.

Srikanth Deva has scored music for the lyrics penned by Vairamuthu. Veteran playback singer P Suseela has sung a duet in the company of T M Soundarajan'a son TMS Paul Raj. Yesteryear’s popular number ‘Pokiri Pokiri Pokiri Pokiri Raja….’ has been remixed.

Two songs have been picturised in Japan and Bangkok. The highlight of the song taken in Japan is that Vincent appears as a Samurai warrior in the song.

The movie with a mix of freshers and veterans is all set to hit the halls by February 29.
